we had this ‘great’ idea to shave our heads

It was super cathartic for some reason. Never really shaved my head in a while. I don’t know if this was some sort of collective mental breakdown, but we wanted to try something new.I love my friends.

sometimes all you need to is step out and enjoy being outside, maybe basking in the sun as you look up with your eyes closed, feeling the sun’s warmth on your skin. It’s difficult when it feels like the world is going to shit. Even though it feels great to find an escape, try to feel present in reality from time to time.

Living with others made me realize that egos are kinda lame, especially in situations that involve conflict. I’ve started to try recognize the intent of the other person in an attempt to rationalize whether or not the conflict was justifiable.

Let your friends know that their beautiful. Understand that you are too.

Being creative. I believe that not everything I create needs to make sense to others. I’d like to think about what it means to me while acknowledging what I’m trying to convey through my creation(s).

Quarantine living is hard. Grounding myself really helped me. Trying feel my body from within (thanks midnight gospel) and using my senses to appreciate the things in my surroundings that I took for granted. For me, finding beauty in the mundane is about developing a romantic perspective on reality.
I understand that vague blanket statements always have counter arguments but I’m not really concerned about that right now. There’s other things I’d rather be concerned about, hopefully in a manner that isn’t self destructive. I like to think that I’m on a journey of losing hope. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. I just wish to live a life where I won’t beat myself up for all my unrealized dreams, however, that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t work towards my goals. How do I know if life isn’t worth living if I haven’t fully lived mine? Sure death is this random thing that could come at anytime, but I’m not dead yet. There are some things we can’t control, stressing on them is fair in some situations, but it’s important to acknowledge perspective and privilege. I think that becoming self aware shouldn’t induce paranoia from within, but rather, serenity.
